St Martin's Church, Bilborough, Nottingham.
The restoration and reordering of this medieval church was shortlisted for the English Heritage Angels Award 2014 (given by S.P.A.B) for Best Rescue or Repair of a place of worship.
The east end wall paintings by Evelyn Gibbs are outstanding and newly restored, as featured in local news and television.
The Evelyn Gibbs wall paintings conservation was shortlisted for the English Heritage Angels Award but then won the 2015 prestigious John Betjeman Award. A great ending to a conservation success story in Nottinghamshire and a new beginning for St Martin's.
