Including interpreting, painting, sandblasting, fabrication and installation.
Projects
The current workload includes projects throughout the East Midlands, Northamptonshire and Yorkshire. Examples of our conservation and restoration projects include glazing repairs at Old Brampton, Carlton in Lindrick and Repton Parish Churches.
Restoration & Conservation
MDS has experience in all aspects of leaded light renovation, restoration and conservation work. This also includes the replication of historic painted stained glass.
Window Protection
A consultation service is freely available with regard to window protection. Advice is given on the pros and cons of template-cut stainless steel and template-cut polycarbonate sections, fixing methods etc.
Largest New Commission
With overall dimensions of 202 inches high x 121 inches wide, MDS undertook its largest new commission to date. Entitled ‘The George Newell Memorial Window’ it was designed, made and installed in 2008 and formed the new Chancel East window (replacing the existing 1934 plain glazing) at St. Margaret’s Church, Aspley Lane, Nottingham. Comprising 22 individual lights, it is one of the largest commissions in the Diocese in twenty years.
